Bridge the gap between psychedelic theory and direct clinical application. Hosted by Born Counseling & Consulting and Trauma Healing Journeys, this intensive clinical training equips licensed mental health and medical professionals with the skills, safety protocols, and direct experiential practice needed to integrate sublingual and intramuscular (IM) Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy into their practice.
Core Training Schedule
- Virtual Orientation & Prep Session (Mandatory): September 18, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM MST Cohort introductions, building psychological safety, logistics, and setting clinical expectations.
- In-Person Experiential Training (Scottsdale, AZ):
- Thursday, Sept 24: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Treatment Planning & Sublingual Troche Session)
- Friday, Sept 25: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Low/High-Dose IM Session & Container Holding)
- Saturday, Sept 26: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Low/High-Dose IM Session & Sitter Dyads)
- Sunday, Sept 27: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Integration & Professional Dev)
- Virtual Integration & Follow-Up Session (Mandatory): October 12, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST Integration downloads and next steps.
What Sets This Experiential Training Apart
Participants receive direct experiential learning across both dosing and sitting roles under active faculty supervision:
- Diad Medicine Experiences: Receive 1 sublingual troche session, 1 low-dose IM session, and 1 high-dose IM medicine session to explore different routes of administration as well as psycholitic vs. psychedeleic doing in relation to clinical goals.
- Supervised Dyad Practice: Serve as the therapist/sitter for a peer partner across all three medicine sessions under the direct oversight of lead faculty.
- Onsite Medical Safety: Direct, full-time oversight provided on location by Lindsey Dunning, PMHNP, covering all medical evaluations, dosing protocols, and emergency preparedness.
Participant Eligibility & Pre-Screening Requirements
- Eligible Participants: Licensed mental health clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologists) in good standing.
- Mandatory Medical Evaluation: All participants taking part in the experiential track must complete a comprehensive medical pre-screening with our onsite PMHNP prior to the September 18th orientation.
